A vertical feed mixer wagon is a type of feed mixing equipment identified by its vertical orientation, consisting of a tub and vertical cutting augers where ingredients are cut and blended. The two main types of vertical mixers are sloped side wall (S-Series) and vertical side wall (V-Series) mixers.
Overview
The V-Series mixer has tub side walls that have no slope. The design of a wider floor allows for lower height and narrower width for door and alley clearance, but will require a bit more horsepower.
The S-Series mixer has tub side walls that have the same slope as the front and back walls. This creates a consistent mixing action from front to back and side to side. This design requires less horsepower, but is taller and wider at the top.
