Herd-Boss’s liquid manure filter basket attaches to the fill port of a liquid manure spreader and works as a strainer to filter out larger debris as the tank fills.

Protecting Liquid Manure Injector Systems
Liquid manure filter baskets can trap trash in liquid manure before it can clog applicator injectors. They can be attached to the fill port of major liquid manure spreaders, such as Jamesway, Houle, and Nuhn. The basket strains out trash as the tank fills, trapping anything larger than an inch protecting the injector and reducing the amount of downtime due to blocked injectors.

In addition to a standard filter basket, Herd-Boss offers a filter basket with an overflow system that catches overflow and vents tanks. The venting action allows the 9,500-gallon tanks to carry an extra 300 to 400 gallons of manure, making the unit even more efficient and productive. Our dealer network handle the installation, including hydraulic plumbing from the tractor to the cylinder.

Selection Considerations of a Filter Basket
The size of the filter basket is important, as you should select your basket based on the flow rate and the size of the particles to be filtered. Oversized or undersized filters can affect the efficiency of the filtration process.
The right mesh size can be used for coarse filtration and fine filtration.
