The 2715 cake feeder is a versatile and efficient piece of equipment for farmers who need to transport feed to their livestock or other animals. With a capacity of 41 cubic feet (33 Bushels), it can hold a substantial amount of feed. With a chain-driven dispensing system, this unit will reduce the amount of bridging and binding of feed. Compared to other auger-driven products in the industry, this will save time and reduce product waste. This system allows for the feeder to not be limited to what it is feeding. Such as corn, silage, brewers grain, cube feed, wet cake, cotton seed, etc.
2715 Lid Attachment
The lid is a valuable feature, as it can prevent spillage during transport and moisture from spoiling feed if it needs to be stored overnight. The lid helps allow the feed to not be dumped over the back while filling the feeder. Once again reducing the amount of wasted product.
Gooseneck Compatibility
The 2715 cake feeder is also compatible with a gooseneck trailer. The 2715 allows room for the gooseneck to be attached to the flatbed or leave space for other items. This feeder measures 27″ wide, 37″ tall, and 88″ long, with a dispensing spout of 17″. The unit mounted on the flatbed is optimal height to be able to feed into a bunk if desired. The unit itself when empty weighs approximately 1,000 lbs.
Power Requirements
This equipment requires a 12V battery in order to function (typically connects to the 12V truck battery). This 12V battery provides the power source to the hydraulic power unit which powers the hydraulic orbital motor to turn the chain and dispense the feed.
